Kurzbeschreibung

Pursuing her academic interest Inga is going to analyse the implementation of the individual criminal accountability norm by the International Criminal Court in cases of wartime SGBC by looking closely at the work of the Court´s Office of the Prosecutor (OTP). Regarding various obstacles and pressure factors, which challenge the prosecution of these crimes, she will investigate the implementation and effects of newly elaborated strategies, mechanisms and procedures within the OTP. Conducting an interdisciplinary analysis including political, legal, social and gender perspectives she intends to explore new possibilities within the international criminal law to prosecute wartime SGBC and to elaborate intersections, which might promote the implementation of justice in such cases.
