Images of Women in Sefer Hasidim: Edition, Translation and Commentary of selected texts concerning the image and the social status of women in Medieval Germany

The Hebrew Sefer Hasidim (Book of the Pious) is one of the central Jewish works to emanate from medieval Germany. The project will focus on the images of women drawn by the texts of SH. To this end, a number of self-contained, thematically-relevant textual units will be edited, translated, and commented upon.
